R. Stein - Tibetan Civilization [Repost]

An excellent, comprehensive view of pre-1950 Tibetan society, including history, religion, social customs, and literature. It was published in the 60’s, so some of the information is a little outdated. The times when it mentions statues or sites that still existed when the book was written but were destroyed in the Cultural Revolution are a little sad in retrospect.
